Focus

A prominent theme for me lately has definitely been ‘focus’. With so much going on, it is easy to lose sight of one’s goals, and before you know it, you are juggling 10 balls in the air and dropping more than half of them.
This has been a long lesson for me to learn, as multitasking has always been part of my daily routine. However, in recent times it is becoming more apparent to me that focusing on one thing at a time is a much more effective strategy.
Using the analogy of the magnifying glass that is held steady on the paper or dry grass to create enough heat from the sun to start a fire, likewise a steady focus on a problem or challenge is more likely to bring about the desired results rather than a fluctuating approach, where the mind jumps from one project to another. Just as the magnifying glass will not work to create enough heat to ignite a fire if the glass is moved constantly from one point to another, neither will the mind and will be as effective in achieving results if it is jumping from one project to the next.
Lately I have been using chanting and meditation to help me in maintaining clarity and focus. Like the old nursery rhyme reminds us:
“one thing at a time, and that done well, is a very good thing as many will tell”

Diana,
i have been in a major ‘focus’ of chanting and deeper meditations…
i feel it helps with the intense energy shifts that are going on now.
